We have a space!  Finally!

This year we will be sponsored by the Fool's Mansion 127 Essex Street.  We have 15 artists signed up: Nancy Barnes, Bob Jamback, Laura DaSilva, Josh deVries, Rebecca deVries, Tina Enos, Ellen Garvey, Charles Lang, Jim Motta, Sara Robertson, Elaine Snow, Wendy Snow-Lang, Jack Walsh, Kathleen Ward-Salem, and Elise Mankes.

New artists and what sells

I get calls and emails frequently from new artists interested in exhibiting and participating in Terror Fantasies.

First and foremost--you MUST be able to Sit the Gallery for multiple four-hour shifts over the course of the month! The average number of shifts per the month is four, but it could be more. TF is an artist co-op and is run by the volunteers.

Second--we have NO IDEA where the exhibit will be from year to year.  We have had spaces that range from 700 square feet to 6000 (!) per year.  If we have 6000 like we had this year, obviously we can accomodate many more artists.  If we have 700, like we had a couple of years ago, we will have to restrict our artists to our TOP SELLERS.

Terror Fantasies is all about making MONEY!  Selling ART!

We always defer to our current artist list, and who is selling the most.  Why would you invest a $50 entry fee, plus 25% commission on sales, and at least 16 hours of your valueable time if you only sell a meagre amount?  Think about it.

We have and the Key is: HALLOWEEN!  Jack O' Lanterns, Black Cats, Ghosts, Witches.  Even ZOMBIES!

VINTAGE STYLE HALLOWEEN POSTCARDS

Chuck's Vintage Style Halloween Postcards are DEVOURING Salem!  They are available at: Bewitched in Salem, the Fool's Mansion, the Art Corner, Griffin Theatre, the Hawthorne Hotel, and Terror Fantasies.  We have collectively sold well over a THOUSAND so far!  And the ink is barely dry on them!  Digital Imaging just finished up the last few last week!
The original paintings are also flying off the walls!  At 5"x7" and 6"x8", they are CHEEP!  And selling well!  They are original acrylic paintings, framed beautifully and ready to take home and hang on YOUR wall!
Chuck did the paintings and wrote the verse and Elaine Snow, also a TF artist, did the Graphic Design.  Digital Imaging did the printing.  In all, a concerted LOCAL effort!

Thanks to Jack Walsh, here is a peek at the reception, Friday night.  A great time was had by all, and most of the food was eaten and wine drunk, and ARTWORK BOUGHT!

TERROR FANTASIES IMAGES!

Here is a sneak peak at what TF has to offer this year!  We are in a somewhat "awkward" space--just outside Essex Street, where "everyone" seems to congregate, but oh-so-close--just through the Museum Place/East India Mall.

We will be open on Monday, Columbus Day!

The Meet the Artists Reception is Friday, October 14, 5 to 8pm!  Come see the rest!  And Eat and drink and BUY STUFF!

Open Thursdays to Sundays, 10 to 6.  From Thursday, October 20--will be open EVERY DAY until Halloween!

The Black Cat Tours Salem

This year's The Black Cat Tours Salem painting will be on display at the Salem Witch House on the corner of Essex and Summer Streets.  The Witch House's executive director, Elizabeth Peterson is SO excited that the Black Cat "visited" the Witch House this year that she wants to showcase the kitty there!  And so am I!
